soviet bronze bust of imperial admiral nakhimov

outstanding tactical naval commander pavel nakhimov born july 6, (23 june) in the village town vyazemsky district of smolensk province (now - st. andrew's village nakhimov district of smolensk region). after graduating from the naval cadet corps in st. petersburg (1818), served in the baltic fleet. in 1822-1825 gg. made a circumnavigation of the watch officer on the frigate "cruiser". bust is made of bronze copper, height 17cm (7 inches).
