Soviet Army Military Shirt - Gimnasterka Tunic With Belts + Holster

Set consists of a jacket with shoulder boards, belts, and holster. M43 Gimnasterka tunic shirt is made of thick fabric and usually has a straight stand-up collar. The Workers’ And Peasants’ Red Army and the Soviet Army used this uniform as part of the standard uniform until 1969. Gym shirt or tunic was introduced in the army in 1862 for gymnastics. From the army, this comfortable and practical clothing later became part of everyday life. Civil, departmental, and children’s shirts were also produced. On January 15, 1943, by Order No. 25, a new sample of the tunic was introduced for soldiers and officers. Uniform was similar to the shirt worn in the Imperial Army. It had a stand-up collar fastened by two buttons. It was worn with trousers and a belt. Officer tunics included two breast pockets. Soldier tunics did not have pockets. The cut of the trousers did not change. The main feature was wearing epaulettes, which had been abandoned in 1918.
